When someone climbs a mountain, they are encouraged not to look down. In the same manner, I'm encouraging you not to look back! The harm is not so much in the physical act of looking back or in reminiscing about the past. It's having a heart that doesn't recognize where the Lord has brought you from. Lot's wife was cursed for looking back. And I'm here to tell you that there's nothing important back there in the past; what matters most is your future.
Do not expect to receive accolades when you begin to aggressively pursue your place in the Kingdom. There will be naysayers and people who will not rejoice with you no matter how great the feat may be! I challenge you to seek through your circle and discern who is for you and who is not! Those who are for you will not just celebrate in your triumphs, but they will also pray with you through your tribulations. These are some of the thoughts of T.D. Jakes.
In your frienships with family and friends: Commit to stay, commit to be strong: and commit to celebrate all He has give you in your friend.
Everything is possible for him who believes. (Mark 9:23)
