Jump In...

It takes courage to walk into an atmosphere that is set against you. However, if you're going to get what you want out of life, out of God or any adverse situation, you've got to be prepared. People may be murmuring in corners, but you have to know that the mission you are on is so important that you cannot afford to worry about what people think. You must go anyway.

So spring into action, and take hold of your vision. See it, believe it and embrace that which is yours for the taking. Jump into the waters of life and be filled. Let your dreams take you where you want to be.

And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him. (Luke 2:40)

Easter and Holy Week...

Resting in the arm's of Jesus as the picture depicts reminds us what Easter and Holy Week are all about. It is a time of letting go and reaching out for a new beginning. Spring is the rebirth of not only the nature found around us, but it is the time of the year to reclaim our rebirth with our faith and love for God and one another.

We have a forgiving merciful God and must remember that his forgiveness is always there for us. We need only to forgive ourselves and receive that love He has for us, so that we may give that to others.

Holy Week means different things to different people. Some celebrate with colorful eggs, chocolate Easter bunnies, and maybe attending church this time of year because it is the right thing to do. Some, like my friend Jen will be confirmed at Easter Vigil this coming Saturday. She will become one with God and be brought into a community of loving people that will share in her joy and her love for God. Her journey has been amazing and will only continue to abound in greater love and joy.
She has made the step up and into God's Love and His word. I am proud to have such a friend. She makes God proud too.

Our relationship with God should be a daily event. It is important that you continually stimulate the mind and refresh your spirit. It is like going to the gym and giving your muscles a workout, and expecting your body to maintain that one time visit.

I think that is sometimes how we visit God. If God becomes an obligation or you are seeking because you feel entitled to what God has for you, then you have missed the very essence of who God is. We must be re mined of why Christ died. His teachings are powerful and loving. And the true presence of God is love. The teachings are simple enough...Love unconditionally, help the poor, the homeless, the ones others can't and don't want to see.

As messengers of God it is important that we know what message to send and deliver.
So if you see someone that has lost their way, joy, faith, job or have lost hope in life itself, it is up to the messengers of God to fulfil that purpose. Lift them up spiritually, financially, and most of all show them love, mercy, lend a listening ear or a gentle hug. Be intuned to what others are seeking and if you can, fill that need.

Try doing something for someone today and truly be a messanger of God. He will reward you with such joy and a sense of peace. Don't miss your opportunity to be blessed by blessing others.

I am of the Kingdom of God, a citizen of Heaven. (Eph. 2:19)

"The Seven Symphonies of Extraordinary Love"

I would like to introduce to you Kaushal Aras...author of "The Seven Symphoneies of Extraordinary Love." I met Kaushal sitting at a hotel computer at The Brendon Burchard's Nonprofit Partnership Seminar in San Francisco last weekend. A man who left his homeland of India to pursue a life in the United States...A man who found what unconditional love is...A man who believes that world peace is an option to embrace.

Kaushal shares with the world how and why love is so important to our daily lives, but even more so in the world. We have such chaos around us that if we choose to remain in it, it can and will destroy your spirit.

We all have love in us, we just let other things get in the way. To be free means to forgive and let go. Five minutes of conversation is all it took for me to see the love in his heart and definitely in his book. Please click on to www.thesevensymphonies.com or click on my valuable resources to receive a free eBook of "The Seven Symphonies of Extraordinary Love." His thoughts are powereful and engaging. Take the time to read this very touching book. It will renew your spirit and uplift your soul.

I am devoted to others in brotherly love. (Rom. 12:10)

Don't Look Back...

When someone climbs a mountain, they are encouraged not to look down. In the same manner, I'm encouraging you not to look back! The harm is not so much in the physical act of looking back or in reminiscing about the past. It's having a heart that doesn't recognize where the Lord has brought you from. Lot's wife was cursed for looking back. And I'm here to tell you that there's nothing important back there in the past; what matters most is your future.

Do not expect to receive accolades when you begin to aggressively pursue your place in the Kingdom. There will be naysayers and people who will not rejoice with you no matter how great the feat may be! I challenge you to seek through your circle and discern who is for you and who is not! Those who are for you will not just celebrate in your triumphs, but they will also pray with you through your tribulations. These are some of the thoughts of T.D. Jakes.

In your frienships with family and friends: Commit to stay, commit to be strong: and commit to celebrate all He has give you in your friend.

Everything is possible for him who believes. (Mark 9:23)

Rainy day...

It was a rainy day today, I loved it, still a cold breeze in the air and the much needed rain was a blessing. The wind howling and the rain slapping against the windows was a respit for those of us who live in the desert.

My grandson and I were very lazy and I choose to take a nap with him wrapped in a warm blanket, cuddling on the couch. I could feel his soft breathing on my chest and the occasional hug around my neck. One of those moments that you need to take the time to enjoy. Sometimes we need to treat moments, especially small ones as if this could be the last time he will lay with me. And the truth is the last time will come so surrender to the moment.

Talking to a friend tonight I was sharing with her that I am still excited by where my life is going and how I am going to get there.

I used to wonder how my life would be and what directions and turns in the road it would include. I have traveled many roads. I have felt joy, sadness, pain, anguish and much love. In retrospect love has been the greatest of them all. Even the little loves of life...you know a good cup of coffee, the sweet fragrance after the rain, a rainbow, the freedom a friend gives you to be yourself, (that would be you Jen) and the unconditional love that is there if you only reach out to touch it.

I have things that I need to change in myself, but the greatest gift I give myself is the willingness to learn, change, grow, and love others unconditionally.

Stay excited about your life, look forward to what is ahead. Whatever it is you are looking for it will present itself. But you must be ready, remember we only come this way once, and I don't want to miss any of the blessings God has for me.

I follow the way of God's love. ( 1 Cor. 14:1)
